Huzzah!

Kia Ora! That's the greeting they use in Maori.

Geez, I haven't updated my blog for ages, I don't even know is people still read it! aha~! Well, I am already at VUW and this place is great! I can't seem to get my internet connection stuff done and lame Friendster is not working due to maintainence. Ah. I miss Malaysian food, and I miss Ben and I miss the HOT WEATHER. This place is so windy, you can ACTUALLY lean on the wind for support. We've got parties every night as orientation is still going on and the place rocks! I went for a harbour cruise yesterday. Damn windy. But cool.

I am living at Weir House, which is the BEST Hall of Residence in Wellington and I am taking the law course at Vic, which has the BEST law school in the entire country as well! Yes, it beats Ottago and the University of Auckland. This place is exciting and the Kiwis are a friendly lot.

The bad thing is that they don't seem to be having an affinity for internet connection. Mad kiwis charge as per Megabytes. Sucks eh? (They end everything with "eh"

The place I am living in is great. (I know I'm gushing, but this is MY BLOG) It's a nice red brick house off Weir House, although it is still a part of Weir House. We've got a real  happening community living there and we even have a cat called Hari. Damn that cat is greedy! It's like Garfield number 2 and it's HUGE.

Everything is huge here. The flies, the cats, the birds... uh. the condoms? lol. Just kidding. One of my housemates hung a water filled condom outside her door, which is just opposite my room. The condom I got from my goodie back is still in my goodie bag. I suppose it will serve a better purpose as a balloon.

I am crapping again.

The other day, we had this University Idol thing going on and it was judged by the NZ Idol's version of Randy, Frankie Stevens. The RAs from my hall dressed as superheroes and it was all so hillarious. I was laughing my ass off! Our hall representative was some weirdo guy dressed in a hot pink tights with a green wig. Geez! His singing SUCKS, but we still cheer for him. HALL PRIDE.

Oh well, have to get going now. Lots more to say, but there's so LITTLE TIME!

Cheers! (Cheers can stand for hello, goodbye, thank you, howya doin...etc. You get the gist.)

I got it!

NEWS: READ ALL ABOUT IT! aha! VUW accepted me, making me one of the 2 candidates in the country accepted for the scholarship. Joy.

I suppose it's because I made the interviewers laugh with my comments regarding the public misconception about Malaysians as neanderthals living in trees... yeah, it sounds lame. but heck, I was nervous at the time!

I have lots of stuff to prepare and lots of things have been happening lately.

I went to meet Junk and Sim and we had lunch at Dome. Later, we went for pool at Red Spot where I beat Sim. It was fun. Sim is going to KL tomorrow.

After hanging out with them, I met Ben for a movie. Oceans 12. Really, really funny. It's even better than Oceans 11. Watch out for unexpected twists and turns. We later had dinner and he sent me home... the traffic was terrible considering it was a Friday night and I got home quite late. We spent the hours talking in his car, listening to music, having laughs, he showed me bloopers from FRIENDS on his pocket PC...

I'll be sad to leave all this as I board the plane to New Zealand in February. I will miss my friends, the camaraderie we have, the closeness I fostered with Junk and Sim, hanging out at Gurney, watching movies whenever we're free, splurging when I feel like it... Ben... sigh...

Going for driving lessons tomorrow. FINALLY.

the devil is out.

It's been quite a while since I last updated my blog.

I just came back from KL where I was shortlisted for an interview. Remember that VUW thing I was praying to God for? I suppose now I have no reason not to believe in God. aha! Well, I still need concrete evidence. KL was fun. I stayed with my uncle and he brought me to visit the centre where all the DJs in the country do their stuff. It was really cool. Ruddy from HITZ.FM waved at me. aha! The place was great. My uncle had some business to do and I was bored so the person in charge showed me around. I suppose the entire entertainment industry was based there. Saw quite a few local celebrities.

It's weird, but everytime I go down to KL, David would not be there. This time round, he's scuba diving in Sipadan Island... thats in Borneo. And no, he was not worried about the terrorist threat. lol. Anything for scuba diving. I always think of David whenever I am in KL. ESPECIALLY when I am in Subang. Sigh... Too bad we'll be parting ways next year.

Anyway, the interview went well. I was interviewed by 2 professors who flew in from VUW and they looked intimidating... The interview was held at the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise office at the Wisma IMC. When I went in, I was quite nervous since we were sitting at what looked like a boardroom. and I was at the very end of the table. I was bombarded with questions on history, politics, interests, culture, law, literature and stuff like that. God! I certainly did not expect them to ask me about Badawi and Mahathir, our prime ministers, and to compare them! They also asked me about world issues, in which I cited Iraq and the USA as well as the terrorist threat so dominant in the world today. We also talked about the Israeli Palestinian issue and how Yasser Arafat's death affected it. We talked about Thailand the the Islamic "ethnic cleansing" there, we talked about China's economy, we talked about Lord Denning, canoeing, Shakespeare, ASEAN, the Cold War, the Civil War, Malaysian History, the virgin forests in Sarawak, G7, the outdoors, TOM CRUISE ? my poetry, music... and a whole LOAD of stuff. The interview went on for almost an hour!

Then it was over. Joy.

The day before I went to KL, I went out with my sis and her friend, Richard, who came all the way from KL just to deliver a CD. My sis is a certified Claymate and a Clay Aiken freak, so she was adamant for his Christmas album, and she managed to convince Richard to search for it when I failed to locate that particular CD at Gurney's Tower Records. Richard couldn't find it in KL as well. aha~! But he bought another CD for her. A Christmas compilation by local artistes as a birthday present.

I'm just glad to be back home... First thing I did? Paint my nails black and blasted Metallica like I've never blasted it before. lol. No more pretending to be the angel I am not.

The DEVIL IS OUT!

Liberation!!!

Exams are over! lol. I am just so glad to be finishing my exams.

Now I get to laze around and do my stuff. I'm going to take my driving lessons soon.

Also, all my stuff are back to normal. I can sign in my hotmail account and my hard disk is repaired.

Currently working on application forms for scholarships etc. I hate doing stuff like this.

On the last day of exams, the whole gang went to watch Shark Tale. Funny, huh? The movie pales in comparison to The Incredibles though. I also bumped into Karen at Gurney. She was with her friends. This is freaky, but a few minutes after that, I bumped into Ben. lol. So Ben and I called Karen and the 3 of us had lunch together. Later, I went to search for my friends who were lunching at Fish & Co. The gang was joined by Joanne and Huei Ling and I discovered that Sasi was working there. lol. so we got complimentary chocolate cake. aha~!  After that, we broke into 2 groups. Michelle, Sarah and Eric went to Red Spot for pool whereas Junk, Sim, Vivienne, Wei Yin, Ruoh Chyi and I went to Screwball for pool. Junk was kinda privy about privacy when it comes to pool. lol. Well, we had fun and I think I was kinda high on alcohol. I had a glass of pina colada, another margarita and I shared a tequila sunrise with Sim. I don't get drunk easily... especially not on cocktails, but then they ordered another jug of beer. So CHEERIOS, I say!

Damn. Mom is back. She will end up peering at what I'm doing. Will update later.

~peace~
