It's been quite a while since I last updated my blog.
I just came back from KL where I was shortlisted for an interview. Remember that VUW thing I was praying to God for? I suppose now I have no reason not to believe in God. aha! Well, I still need concrete evidence. KL was fun. I stayed with my uncle and he brought me to visit the centre where all the DJs in the country do their stuff. It was really cool. Ruddy from HITZ.FM waved at me. aha! The place was great. My uncle had some business to do and I was bored so the person in charge showed me around. I suppose the entire entertainment industry was based there. Saw quite a few local celebrities.
It's weird, but everytime I go down to KL, David would not be there. This time round, he's scuba diving in Sipadan Island... thats in Borneo. And no, he was not worried about the terrorist threat. lol. Anything for scuba diving. I always think of David whenever I am in KL. ESPECIALLY when I am in Subang. Sigh... Too bad we'll be parting ways next year.
Anyway, the interview went well. I was interviewed by 2 professors who flew in from VUW and they looked intimidating... The interview was held at the New Zealand Trade and Enterprise office at the Wisma IMC. When I went in, I was quite nervous since we were sitting at what looked like a boardroom. and I was at the very end of the table. I was bombarded with questions on history, politics, interests, culture, law, literature and stuff like that. God! I certainly did not expect them to ask me about Badawi and Mahathir, our prime ministers, and to compare them! They also asked me about world issues, in which I cited Iraq and the USA as well as the terrorist threat so dominant in the world today. We also talked about the Israeli Palestinian issue and how Yasser Arafat's death affected it. We talked about Thailand the the Islamic "ethnic cleansing" there, we talked about China's economy, we talked about Lord Denning, canoeing, Shakespeare, ASEAN, the Cold War, the Civil War, Malaysian History, the virgin forests in Sarawak, G7, the outdoors, TOM CRUISE ? my poetry, music... and a whole LOAD of stuff. The interview went on for almost an hour!
Then it was over. Joy.
The day before I went to KL, I went out with my sis and her friend, Richard, who came all the way from KL just to deliver a CD. My sis is a certified Claymate and a Clay Aiken freak, so she was adamant for his Christmas album, and she managed to convince Richard to search for it when I failed to locate that particular CD at Gurney's Tower Records. Richard couldn't find it in KL as well. aha~! But he bought another CD for her. A Christmas compilation by local artistes as a birthday present.
I'm just glad to be back home... First thing I did? Paint my nails black and blasted Metallica like I've never blasted it before. lol. No more pretending to be the angel I am not.
The DEVIL IS OUT!
